Cancellation Policy
Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, we understand that changes could occur, and
as a result, there can be changes of the plans. As a responsible organization, we want
you to feel comfortable securing your spot, which is why we are implementing a flexible
cancellation policy.
Please read carefully:
-
If you cancel up to 30 days before your arrival, you can apply 70% of your
deposit payment to a future volunteer program or get that amount as
a refund. Your program cost is transferable to any future volunteer
program within 12 months of the cancellation date if you decide to
reschedule (application fee and deposit fees included)
-
There are no refunds or transfers if you cancel less than 30 days before the volunteer program.
-
If Vision Volunteer postpones or cancels a volunteer program due to
unforeseen circumstances, we will transfer your participation to a future
volunteer program or give you the option of a full refund.
-
If your participation is canceled due to a lack of deposit payment, you have 30 calendar days to switch to another volunteer program.
-
There will be no refunds or transfers if your participation is canceled due to a lack of final payment (within 45 days of the start of the volunteer program).
COVID-19 Addendum:
Please note that a negative COVID test done no more than 72 hours before to your
volunteer program will be required.
If you test positive for COVID-19 before beginning your volunteer program (or have
been exposed to someone who has), your participation will be canceled, not only for
your safety and the safety of the rest of the team, but also to comply with International
Travel Guidelines. If this happens, we'll be able to transfer half of your payments to
another volunteer program within six months of the cancellation date.
Made a mistake and need to cancel your transaction?
If you used the wrong credit card, for example, you may need to cancel the transaction.
If this is the case, you have two business days from the date of the transaction to
request a cancellation or refund.

Waiting List Policy
Vision Volunteers may start a waiting lists to ensure the integrity of the program and a
personalized learning experience for each volunteer. If you register for a volunteer
program that is already full, you will be put on a waiting list and we will confirm your
participation 90 days prior to the service trip.
We follow a First come - First Served policy. The opportunities are therefore based on
the availability of the vacancies at the placements. If there are no spots available, we
will reimburse your application fee and any additional payments you have made. The
volunteers in the waiting list will get the priority in the following program.
